I have read the article. Not only is it Russian revisionist bunk, but it is the EXACT mirror-image of the German revisionist bunk that seeks to blame Poland for WWII. For more on this, please click on my name in this specific posting, and read my review of the Memoirs of Josef Lipski, who had been Poland's ambassador to Nazi Germany right up to WWII.
Hello,American Jewish Committee has once again earned some brownie points.Mr. Harris's comment was noted and appreciated in Poland.http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/ajc-denounces-moscows-world-war-ii-historical-revisionism-against-poland-300149598.html
Thanks for the link, Lukasz. Excellent response from David Harris.
Hello Mr. KlimekCBOS recently released polling information in regards to Polish opinions on Polish-Jewish relations. I figured it was of interest to readers here so I was wondering if you or someone with good English and Polish could translate it.http://www.cbos.pl/SPISKOM.POL/2015/K_112_15.PDFChris Helinsky
Hello Mr. HelinskyI will try, but it may take some time.
The Russian propaganda machine is in overdrive. Was there any point in Solzhenitsyn writing his expose of the Gulag system? Was the Russian ambassador one of the few people whose family didn't suffer under the rule of Stalin? Where is this all heading? Is this just empty rhetoric or is there something more sinister afoot?Yours trulyWojtek the Bear
Poland's 'Gazeta Wyborcza' reports that the ambassador says he didn't want to offend anybody and that he expressed himself "imprecisely". This was after protests from the Polish government, so I suppose it's a sort of apology.
